Wired & Wireless Industrial Networks and Communication Protocols

Digital Transformation & Industry 4.0

The Neural Network of Industry: Engineering Secure & Resilient OT Connectivity.

Program Overview

The success of Industry 4.0 depends on a robust and secure communication backbone. This training provides the expertise required to design reliable industrial network architectures, bridging the gap between Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT).

Participants will master the ISA-95 hierarchy and key industrial protocols such as Modbus, PROFINET, and OPC UA. We focus on designing redundant networks for critical environments, addressing both wired and wireless (Wi-Fi, WirelessHART, LoRaWAN) technologies. By integrating cybersecurity best practices at the network level, participants ensure a resilient infrastructure capable of supporting real-time data flows and industrial IoT scaling.

Key Course Objectives

  • Understand ISA-95 architecture and the convergence of OT and IT.
  • Master industrial Ethernet and long-range wireless communication technologies.
  • Design high-availability redundant networks for critical industrial sites.
  • Apply segmentation and cybersecurity best practices for OT networks.
